Our privacy promise

Who National Schools Partnership is for
National Schools Partnership websites and account services are intended solely for teachers, home educators and parents aged 18 years or over. Children and young people must not create an account with National Schools Partnership or provide personal information directly to us through our websites. Educational resources available through National Schools Partnership may be used by teachers, parents and home educators with children and young people in supervised educational settings.
Some educational programmes may include separate digital resources or experiences intended for use by children and young people. Where these resources involve the processing of children's personal information or are likely to be accessed by children, we ensure they are designed and operated in accordance with applicable data protection laws and relevant guidance, including the ICO’s Age Appropriate Design Code.

As a user of our National Schools Partnership websites, when you sign up to our email newsletter, create an account to access free education content, or participate in our promotions, competitions or events, we’ll request the data that we need to fulfil your request, manage your account, communicate with you to promote new education initiatives, programmes or competitions, and tailor website content that we believe will be of interest, in the following ways:

How we share your data

Sharing with sponsoring organisations and programme partners
We work with sponsoring organisations and programme partners to deliver specific educational initiatives, competitions, prize draws or events.
Where it is necessary to do so, we may share limited personal information with these organisations solely for the purpose of administering the initiative or fulfilling a prize or educational resource. In these circumstances:
- the sharing will be explained to you at the point of collection and in any additional privacy notice;
- we will identify any sponsoring organisation or programme partner involved;
- we will only share the minimum personal information necessary for the relevant purpose; and
- where required by law, we will obtain your consent before sharing personal data.
Where sponsoring organisations or programme partners process personal data solely on our behalf and under our instructions, they act as our Data Processors and are contractually prohibited from using your personal data for their own marketing or other independent purposes.
The appearance or branding of a programme website does not mean that sponsoring organisations receive your personal information. We only share personal information with sponsoring organisations where this is necessary for the programme and where this has been explained to you.
Sharing with our Data Processors
